Rare Taraxacum first-edition suspension lamp by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, an iconic and highly sculptural lighting design distinguished by its organic, cloud-like silhouette and softly textured cocoon resin diffuser. This exceptional piece embodies the experimental spirit of Italian lighting design of the 1960s, combining a bold biomorphic form with a warm, atmospheric light quality.
The lamp is in good vintage condition, showing an attractive patina consistent with age and use. The cocoon diffuser presents sporadic minor micro-tears / micro-fissures, visible upon close inspection and documented in the photographs, but overall remains very well preserved and displays beautifully.
